Nusa Penida is a separate island about forty-five minutes by fast boat from Sanur, and this tour covers both sides of it in a single day. The early start is the price you pay for that: pickup in Kuta or Seminyak is around 06:00 so you are at Sanur harbour for the first boats. Crossings are usually fine but can be choppy, especially in the windy months around July and August. On the island you switch to a car and driver for the day.
The west coast is the famous part: the Kelingking cliff with its dinosaur-shaped headland, Broken Beach's natural rock arch, and Angel's Billabong, a tide pool right on the cliff edge. The east coast has Diamond Beach, reached down a stairway cut into the limestone, and Goa Raja, a cave temple with a view over the sea. Crystal Bay near the harbour is the swim stop, with calm water and a reef close to shore. The island's roads are narrow and slow, so a good part of the day is spent in the car between stops.
This suits travelers who want to see the headline viewpoints in one go and do not mind an early start and a lot of steps. It is not a beach-lounging day. The Kelingking descent to the sand is steep and takes over an hour each way; most visitors stay at the viewpoint, which is what the timeline assumes.
06:00
Kuta and Seminyak are about thirty minutes from Sanur; Canggu and Nusa Dua a little more, Ubud around an hour. Dewa confirms your exact pickup time on WhatsApp.
07:30
The crossing takes about forty-five minutes. Boarding can involve wading a few steps, so wear sandals.
08:30
Diamond Beach first, while the light is good and the stairs are quiet. Goa Raja is nearby.
11:30
About an hour's drive. Lunch at a warung near Kelingking at your own cost, often with the cliff view.
13:00
Photos from the cliff path. The full descent to the sand is optional and takes well over an hour each way; most groups skip it to keep the day on schedule.
14:15
The two sites are next to each other. Broken Beach is a walk around the rim of the arch; Angel's Billabong is only safe to enter at low tide with calm seas.
15:30
The one proper beach stop of the day. Calm water in most conditions and a reef a short swim out.
16:30
Last boats leave late afternoon. Expect to be back in Kuta or Seminyak around 18:00 to 18:30 depending on traffic.
